printing in word

is it possible when printing something from a web site to remove the line thats always at the bottom of page.

she printed off a page from a site and at the bottom is the name of site with other info, bit like a footer

That's normal, Baz, but I'd expect people to print from a browser normally, not Word - though I'm not a Word user unless I must...

just had a proper look and its material which can be legally used from this site, you download it,edit it if you wish but the line that you cant delete is the copyright notice.

It's probably a footer, then. Can't you remove it from there?

no dont think so.I seem to remember there was a way of changing some setting so as not to print it but just cant figure it out now

It will be in Page Setup, Baz.  Just remove the footer fields.

Why did my header or footer not print?  
If headers or footers in your document are not printing, you may have placed the header or footer text in the nonprinting area of the page. Check your printer manual to see how close to the edge of the paper your printer can print.

To adjust the placement of your header or footer, do the following:

On the File menu, click Page Setup, and then click the Layout tab.
In the From edge section, enter values for Header and Footer that are larger than your printer's minimum margin setting. For example, if your printer's minimum margin settings are 0.25 inches from the top and bottom of the page, you might set your headers and footers at 0.5 inches from the edge of the page.

It will be in Page Setup, Baz.  Just remove the footer fields.

Oops, sorry, I didn't spot this is in Word.  If printing direct from your browser, assuming Firefox, you can go to File > Page Setup and select the header and footer fields, or leave blank.  Does that not help?

its mainly printing after the item has been downloaded Simon will double check if it works in browser, but saying that my wife uses IE

In IExplorer select Print preview, you will see a box with a line at top and bottom to turn of headers and footers one time. Else can be turned of or changed permanently in Page Set Up.
