The site's fine for me, Zap, 4M profile, 3.9M throughput. What are you entering on each page (not the actual data, of course)?

The site is no good for me, either and has been like it for days. It seems to be a bit hit and miss and some people on the BT forum on TBB also seem to have problems and others not. For me, it fails on the additional authentication page. It hangs and then eventually says that it cannot run a test at this time.

Maybe I am hitting it at busy periods. Who knows with BT?  :dunno:

Rik

That's always the problem, John. I have long believed that there are multiple sites, and it may be a feature of your location as to whether you get one which is working.

Well, it was always going to confound me wasn't it? Finally ran a test after a week.  :)
Profile 6.0, download speed 5.87 off a line with 49.0 db attenuation.

I'm happy.  ;D

Just the mandatory phone number Rik.

QuoteThe Performance Tester is currently unable to run a speed test for your broadband connection. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider.

I'm trying to gauge if the low thoughput issue I was having is fixed but without knowing my current IP profile it's all a bit hit and miss.

I would be too, John. :)
As you know, I had a new line installed just for broadband and this is what is delivering a profile of 6.0.

Daft that the best I could ever get on my other one was a profile of 3.5, plugged into the master socket and yet the two sockets are next to each other one the wall.  ???

Are you not getting to the second page?

Same here, 2.5M and 4M - only I'd prefer your gain to mine. ;D

You need to see the DR. On second thoughts, it's probably DR that's causing it.  ;D

Den

BT speed test is working for me

Download speedachieved during the test was - 6073 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :7552 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 6500 Kbps

But I dont pretend to understand it  :eyebrow: Should I be getting a better profile?
Mr Music Man.

Steve

The profile is right I think for the sync Den, you would need to get to a sync of 7986 before the next profile jump
see http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/IPprofile.htm
