Gary I am sure it's great and I wish you well with it, what I was saying if I had spent a lot of money on anything and it worked as I expected then I would tell everyone I loved it.
Good luck, we are all jealous really but then I love learning new things.   ;D

How could you not love a Mac? Sure, people think they're just expensive and look nice, but they're actually a pleasure to use. You'd never revert to Windows. :)

The greatest transition problem with Switching-to-Mac that I found was in forcing myself to stop thinking like a Windows user. For example, when I went to hook-up a (rather old) printer, I first went hunting for a driver to install beforehand. Frustrated at not finding one I ploughed-on and connected it regardless (expecting to then have to do battle with stand-in generic drivers), went to the Printers section in System Preferences and, lo!, the blooming Mac had not only found and installed the correct driver on its own but also showed me an icon/picture of my exact printer model to prove to me that it had got it right. It was then that I realised that the best way to approach any skill deficiency with a Mac is to think: "well how should it be done, *logically*" and then go for it.

And on top, as if ease-of-use is not enough, you've got Terminal to drop down into from where you have full-blown, full-featured Unix and all those tools to interface and manipulate real servers and routers and switches with. Super :)

The new series only comes in 21.5" or 27".

Go for the 27" - you know you want to really  ;D Add an EyeTV tuner and you've got a digital TV as well.

For someone in your position Simon, I imagine it's one of the best investments you've made.
