i've been pretty steady around teh 7mb mark for 3 weeks now.
just run a bt test as everything was a bit sluggish and only downloading at 30-75kbs

Download speedachieved during the test was - 2545 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :8310 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 843 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 7150 Kbps

frankly the "acceptable speed range" is pretty abysmally inaccurate. another example of BT using any excuse to do nothing?

with that kind of download speed I;m unwilling to restart the router in case hte profile takes a massive hit
If you truly believe you need to pick a mobile phone that 'says something' about your personality, don't bother. You don't have a personality. A mental illness, maybe - but not a personality

There were some load balancing issues, due to a blip on one of the centrals, but IDNet claim to have fixed things early this morning, although, one or two people are still seeing high pings.  You could call support in the morning, but as you know, it could equally be BT playing about again.  :(

He's on WBC ADSL2+ so the congestion issue wouldn't have affected him.

You may be a victim of the ongoing 're-dimensionin', Core. I had a few days of 'half speed' operation.

When is this swap for MAX away from the old centrals customers happening, Rik, I keep forgetting or it keeps getting further away  ;D
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Rik

It can be ordered today (13 months late!) and should be up and running in four weeks.

Can we send a request to Idnet to be moved to IPStream Connect, or do we have to wait until it's offered to us (i.e a mass shift over)?

Rik

I'm not sure how they plan to handle things, but it's in their interests to move as many people as possible as quickly as possible.
