I'd rather forget the wifi and eat somewhere else!

With a thermos flask and sandwiches ? I don't think so !

I've not been for a while but I understand Little Chef has improved since Heston Blumenthal has helped them with their menu.

Rik

The food's not bad, not brilliant, but not bad.

Better than starving then Rik, although with some places starvation might be the better choice  ;D

Rik

Remember Wimpy bars. Reliable for the grease and little else.  ;D

I do remember Wimpy bars. The only time I tried one was on a visit to London circa 1972. That was enough for me to avoid them ever since.

Having said that I think many of them metamorphosed into Burger Kings which when the children were young we were obliged to visit (either them or McDonald's so Burger King was the preferable option).

Rik

They still exist, but the memories are too strong to let me enter. :)

There is a wimpy ( probably just a franchise) in Tossa de Mar where I went on my holiday this year. Almost every time I walked past it was empty!

As far as I remember, Wimpy were the original burger bars, before we'd even heard of McDonald's.

Indeedy, and the one in Wrexham got shut down for health violations. There's a KFC there now, with the worst food and service I've ever come across :(

Though not in a bun. They seey to be back, though, I noticed them at a number of service areas on the M6.

We have a new KFC, and I don't mind them occasionally, but again, the service is abysmal.  I went in on the second week they were open, and waited 4½ minutes for my mini-fillets to be cooked, then they said it would be another 3½ minutes for the fries.  Meanwhile, as the queue behind me formed, two of the staff were standing outside, smoking, and talking to their mates.  Needless to say, I asked for a refund and walked out.
