The games section seems to have dried up a bit so I thought I might start a discussion for HoN.

This game is in closed beta at the moment but it's pretty easy to get keys for it. There are about 26,000 players online at any time so the phrase closed beta seems slightly daft.

Basically I wrote this thread to tell you I think it's fantastic, and definitely worth the £20 it will be at release (or pre buy). If you are into RTS games it's along the same lines but you only control 1 unit, your hero. You work as a team with 4 other people against the enemy team of 5 players to destroy each other's base. The concept is taken directly from DotA (a warcraft 3 mod that is currently more popular than warcraft 3 itself) but they have learned exactly what the players want from the 7 or so years that DotA has been going and they have implemented EVERYTHING into HoN, a great achievement. It's like DotA 2.0 - a 7 year old recipe updated to modern graphics and tools, don't you wish developers did more of that?

Anyone else played it or watching it?
