Message looks like an attack ?

It may for some be self explanatory but I lost connection a while ago well a few minutes just got a BT message that the service was down and to close down browser.
As its not uncommon for this to happen I just rebooted my router but this time I took about 15 minutes to get reconnected and when I looked on the status page (not IDNet) the message was that it looked like an attack.

What is this all about ?
Many hammer all over the wall and believe that with each blow they hit the nail on the head.

It was a suspected Denial of Service Attack.

The protection code in the network closed it down to thwart the attack.
