Hi all!!
Just received mac code from o2 (access:)), and im thinking to join IDNet ... just one question: does IDNet provide wireless router or do i have to purchase one myself if i do then which one would you recommend ?

Hoping that after migrating am gonna be positively shocked with browsing speeds ( router exchange synchro on o2 was over 8000)
cannot wait to migrate :D

Glenn

Hi Marcin :welc: :karma: IDNet do not supply a router with the service, but they do sell Netgear routers. Others here use Speedtouch and 2Wire routers amongst others.

Good morning
Since yesterday morning im proper idnetter... so far gooood... just struggling with freezing netgear router :(... but thats not idnet fault
After misery with o2 i was able to have i chat via skype with my mother last night :))) Happy :D
Are floating speeds normal during 10 days training period ??
on the end just my stats:

ADSL Link         Downstream              Upstream
Connection Speed    8128 kbps              448 kbps
Line Attenuation        12.0 db              5.5 db
Noise Margin        10.9 db              20.0 db

Rik

I take it you can't get WBC yet? As you're syncing at 8128 with a 10.9db noise margin, your line will be able to go much faster on ADSL2+, probably around 18Mb.

not available -> http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/NIBSB
but i dont need great speeds for browsing ... im not a downloader
o2 access wasn good even for that :D

Rik

Well, you should at least have a rock steady line, with a throughput in the region of 6.8M.

Sebby

Well you could, but it would be unfair... ;D

marcin

aaa by the way if somebody has got problems with NETGEAR DGN2000 regarding freezing of it, just try to change a channel it helped mine... works fine on 6 instead 11 :P
