Hi

can't find this info anywhere-

is the weekend counted as off-peak or do the same time restrictions apply 7 days a week?

I hope it isn't 7 days - cos that'll mean I'm likely to waste almost 30GB of my 30GB off-peak allowance. And though I'm connected a lot, my actual monthly download is rarely much. Just had a busy 2 months, transfer-wise and am likely to go over the peak allowance if I can't download at the weekend off-peak. Normally I would barely reach the 10GB peak limit of my package.

The limits are 24/7 I'm afraid, but only downloads count

24/7, weekends are not treated differently...

that's a real shame.

40GB package for about 10-12GB. Most months won't even be half that.   :bawl:

I'm at home 90% of the time (I'm a war pensioner) but early mornings I have a lot to do - I get up at around 6:30, but then I've 2 dogs to feed and walk. I have to get them to the park early, cos one is a vicious little bugger when it comes to other mutts - so I have to be there before anyone else. It's 8:30 by the time I'm done - that gives me a ½ hour to download off-peak.

Do-able, I guess....  maybe have to get up at 6 a couple of mornings. The missus has to get up at 4 and she's gone by 5:30 - so no help there. Still, she does earn us a living, so I'll cut her some slack   :D

If it's actual downloads of large files you're doing, you could set them overnight.

Unfortunately I can't do that, because the file server I subscribe to uses random checks (code input) to prevent automated downloading.

This morning I got up early to get on with my downloads and got quite a bit done before 9am (I'm a hobby guitarist/songwriter and swap trax via the file server) but when I just looked at my bandwidth stats, it was all shown as peak downloading.  :dunno:

You won't have figures for today yet, surely, you'll get them tomorrow.

Okay - I'll check tomorrow.

My old ISP was about 3 hours before the usage showed, but it's no problem if it's a day with ID - it's rare that I need to check.
