It's 90 odd MB full download.

Not on my PC it isn't! It bails out with an error halfway through the install. I'll give this one a miss and wait for the next one I think.

Or maybe not. It seems I've been left with a half-baked installation or should that be apple strudel ;D

iTunes runs but with very little functionality and error message telling me I have very little functionality. It appears to think it's still running on the previous version though so perhaps I should try a manual installation :dunno:

That's happened to me on the last 2 updates, just trying the latest one to see what happens this time. :fingers: :eyebrow:

Worked fine for me. Many versions ago I went through a patch were I always had to download and run it manually.

Well at least I know it's not just me then. It's the first time I've had an issue with it though.

I nailed it, I couldn't leave it alone. I managed to get it installed by disabling a load of services temporarily.

Probably because the installer couldn't. ;)

Only 9 days late, Apple didnt even warn its users like MS  :shake: Microsoft, Firefox and Google Chrome got patched much faster  although for now Android and iOS devices are still vulnerable.

OS X Lion 10.7.2 is out in the wild (iCloud release), servers currently very slow I  guess they're very busy.

Best of luck Niall, because I'm getting an internal error for the sixth time of trying to update my iPad2! By the quantity of posts saying the same thing on Macrumours, it appears to be an overload of Apple servers.
Steve

Stevescat

Would you believe it, seventh time of trying we have success! ;D

I lost my entire camera roll  not happy  >:( icloud syncing also takes way to long on ADSL Max lines, three bladdy hours! Its easier to sync via iTunes.
