Well mine was, on several computers at work, and I was mystified. This may or may not affect IE7 - I'm not sure about that. A lot of searching revealed that it's down to the latest (or a recent) Java plug-in, which leaves behind a remnant of the old version. If you didn't have an old version installed, this won't affect you.

To resolve the issue, click Tools > Manage Add-ons and disable Java(tm) Plug-In 2 SSV Helper.

I've noticed it on several computers, yet several were fine, and it was really baffling me!

I use this method.  ;D

Apologies, but couldn't resist.

Will self-flagellate for next ten minutes...

To stay is death but to flee is life.

Not a lot of use though Drummer if the company only allows IE to be used

We do at work Gary, a lot of the software that is used, doesn't work correctly with any thing later than IE6, including Firefox etc.

We still use ie6 as well, but found out the other day this isn't for any technical issue, but rather lazyness on the part of the build team.

Our problem is not with the IT department, it's Three, they won't spend the money updating the software that is used. The version of Marimba that is in use is 7 years out of date, they brought the new software, but they won't pay Marimba the £50,000 to install, and support it over the next 3 years, so the £80,000 package sits on a shelf.
