Baz

just checking for latest ones and get this message with an update for .NET Framework 3.5 service pack 1

These updates must be installed separately
Updates listed here can have system-wide effects or address more than one problem. It's a good idea to install them now and then check again, starting from the Home page, for remaining updates.

do I need this update as I dont know what it is and have always just un ticked it now its getting flagged as that it needs doing first before any others

Glenn

It's been that way for the past 2 - 4 weeks now Baz

Check whether you have .NET framework installed, Baz. If you do, then do as they say.

never noticed  :dunno:   just checking the rest and theres also an update for office suite service pack 1...... 193MB   :o

Baz

what does it do Rik. will it be in start menu or is it a service running in background

Glenn

If you have XP installed, adding SP3 takes 30 - 60 minutes to install, then it will need another 30 -50 updates, the joy on MS software.

how to check if I have it

Glenn

Is it listed in your installed updates in the Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, you need to selected 'installed updates' or something like that.
