I was wondering, since non WBC are now on the host link does that mean out MTU would be different? That could effect throughput? my Router suggested 1492, now netgears come with 1458 I think as standard, but when auto setting up it went for 1492, first time I have seen that, I have it on 1500 and all is fine, but I was wondering if MTU may have changed for all concerned now, whether  on WBC or not  :dunno:

I was wondering the same thing as my previous Netgear DG834Gv4 that failed always worked fine on 1500 until its PSU failed after 18months and caused other problems in the router itself. When I received the replacement under warranty same model exactly but with the latest firmware (which actually fixed the UPNP problem I had with my Windows Home Server), it had as you said the default setting of 1458, which I left. As my speeds are very slightly lower to what they used to be ie 6.85Mb max from about 7Mb max, I just might try changing it back to 1500 as well.
