What speed do you get on other speedtesters? If it's similar then you're good to go, if it's not then BT has a fault.

Other testers come in predictably at the top end of the 6,500 profile (6,200 - 6,300 Kbs throughput), although real life downloads on linux generally report higher speeds than Windows consistently, too.

It's not the first time it's happened - but is certainly the most pronounced - I wonder if BT are phasing profiling out and not telling us lol

It sound like the BRAS hasn't update the profile correctly, Steve. Expect BT to notice and your speed to drop. (Shows how artificial profiles are though, doesn't it!)

Well - tonight I downloaded the latest ATI drivers at a frankly impossible 755 KB/s - so Shhhhhhh - before BT hear us.

I'm not going to do any more tests there until:

a) My sync increases to the next profile jump

or

b) Everything goes t!ts up

Since it feels a bit like knocking on BT's door and complaining my connection is too fast.

For the record - I'm guessing it will be b) that prompts the next test.
