Anyone got one of these? have just reserved on in my local Argos not a bad price either...if you have one if you could comment on this before tomorrow I would be eternally grateful.....well at least until Tuesday

David, you do know that this is just a router, you would still need a DSL modem to connect it to the internet?

My connection is so slow today cant get across the pond, Rik's right it needs a modem as well such as the Draytek Vigor 120 if you want to spend the money

I got this reply on Tuesday
We have received the results. BT have advised the issue relates to
contention within your local exchange. Currently there is a lack of
capacity within the exchange to enable them to make further bandwidth
available, they have advised this is unlikely to be resolved until
around mid-january however the connection should continue to work within
their acceptable product specification. We have raised a fault with BT
in order to determine if they can move your connection to a less heavily
contended part of the exchange if there is sufficient capacity to do so.
If they are able to do this, then it should complete within 3 - 5
working days. As soon as we have an update back from BT we will be in
touch to advise further.

This morning I was getting a full throughput of 6.8mbps its been desperate since midday ,its around 0.5-1mbps. I've not bothered to contact them since as I am not sure what else they can do. Its very frustrating as even last night it was fine as well.

I think the one in Argos is a DGN2000 which someone here is using and is happy, but unless your are planning on any wireless N acquisitions i.e new laptop etc its probably not worth it,although you may get a better range of g wireless performance than the DG834g.
