Similar to what I had on Tuesday night.

Got the green internet light to my router, and sync'd to the exchange ok. But websites have been failing to load at times this evening and email has stopped working, however I've still got the green lights on my router.

At one point I couldn't even connect to my router via my laptop to reboot it!

Anyway, I have swapped filters, rolled back my wireless network adaptor drivers (recently updated) and rebooted the router and things seem fine at the moment.

Oh, and it's chucking it down with snow at the moment...not that that makes much difference?

If the problems continue, contact IDNet before 6pm tomorrow, or they will be closed for the weekend.  :)

I had similar problems a few minutes ago, disconnected/reconnected and rebooted without result powered down the router for a few moments and it was okay again. I don't know if this was what fixed it or whether there was a momentary interuption of service at Idnet's end or the fault was somewhere in between but it's fine again now. Fortunately it's a very rare occurance and I only mentioned it as Punch repororted problems too.

In this situation, Jonathan, could you try pinging www.idnet.net? That will establish whether your PPP session is still working.

I think it was my wireless baby monitor that was causing the problems! As soon as it was out of the way of my laptop and router all was well :-)

It wouldn't surprise me, they all operate in the same waveband. :(
