Hi All

Our Christmas newsletter should be on it's way to you as I type. Please let us know if you don't receive a copy and we will check our records to make sure we have your up-to-date email address on file - in the meantime here's a copy of the main content:

Welcome to our Christmas 2009 Newsletter

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank you very much for your continued custom and to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from everyone at IDNet!

We've got some good news and a couple of money-saving ideas for you:

Free bandwidth over Christmas

A little Christmas present for all our customers - bandwidth used between Christmas Day and New Year's Day, inclusive, will be completely free! Yes, we mean it, it will not be included in your monthly download allowance for that period. Enjoy!

Pay annually to beat the VAT increase in the New Year - but act fast

As you know, the Chancellor has decided that VAT will go back up to 17.5% on January 1. If you want to avoid the increase for 2010 you can switch to paying annually from December and keep the current rate of 15%. Not only that, but if you switch to annual billing, we will give you a month's free service too, so there's a double saving to be made. (This does not lock you into a 12 month contract - if you choose to leave IDNet during the year then we will refund you for any unused months). You need to let us know by close of business on December 23, to take advantage of this.

Reduce your home and business phone bills

Save money on your call charges with our new telephone services from BT Wholesale - many of the rates are over 50% cheaper than BT.

It's simple to switch - the process is totally seamless and we take care of everything for you. Phone line rental (both analogue PSTN and digital ISDN) can be included too so you can receive just the one monthly bill to cover your broadband and phone costs, and as with our broadband, the minimum contract is just one month. Take both your broadband and phone service from us and there's a further discount to be had.

Details about our packages and call charges are available on our web site - home packages can be found at http://www.idnet.net/solutions/home/phone/, while business packages are at http://www.idnet.net/solutions/business/phone/.

Up-to-24 Mbps ADSL2+ Broadband

Our Up-to-24 Mbps ADSL2+ Broadband services are now available to over 40% of the UK. This is set to climb to 55% availability by Spring 2010 and then to 75% (a total of 1500 exchanges) by Spring 2011.

The new services offer more bandwidth and faster potential connection speeds (dependent upon the quality and length of your telephone line) at the same monthly price as you are currently paying. Upgrades incur a small one-off fee of £12.65 including VAT, however we will waive this fee and give you a month free if you choose to pay annually - again, this does not lock you into a 12 month contract - if you leave us within the year, any unused months will be refunded. All you require is an ADSL2+ compatible router (the Netgear routers we supply are fully compatible). To view the new packages and find out if your local exchange has been upgraded to ADSL2+ please login to the customer portal using the username and password provided for your broadband account, or call us free on 0800 701 2000 (01462 480092 if you're using a mobile).

Customer support over Christmas

Our offices will be closed from 6pm Wednesday 23rd December until 8am on 4th January. During this time if you require any assistance at all please email us at support@idnet.com and we will be happy to help you. If you are unable to connect to the Internet and therefore unable to send an email please call 0800 701 2000 (or 01462 480092)and leave a message detailing your name, contact number, line number the broadband is on and a brief description of the problem and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
