Hi,

Recently my router has been losing synchronisation and I think its ok now as I've changed the lead from the phone socket to the router and also the micro filter.

My profile is 135k and my question is what do I need to do to get it increased ?

Do I need to leave my router on for a minimum amount of time every day etc ?  I suppose my concern is it loses synchronisation for a random reason and any time I've built up with a stable connection gets lost leaving me back at square 1.

Will my profile increase whilst I am connected or would it be the next time I reboot my router ?

Even if it jumps to just 500k it will be far more usable than and I would be happy to wait until it gets back to normal.

Thanks,

Phil.

Rik

Leave the router on, Phil, for a big change in speed (what's your sync speed?) it will change in a day, for a smaller change, up to five days.

Hi Rik,

Its currently 2800kbps (I'm presuming you mean DownStream Connection Speed ?)

Thanks for your fast reply.  I know what to do now. I usually switch off my router overnight as I only use it during the evenings.

No, leave it on 24/7 until the profile picks up, Phil, you should be on 2M when it does.
