Google unveil the Nexus One phone

Available in America to start then here on Vodafone, running android, here are the specs, looks pretty good but its what its like to use.

3.7 inch touchscreen
1GHz snapdragon processor
5 Megapixel camera with LED flash
GPS and compass
Accelerometer
Noise cancellation technology
Voice recognition can be used with all applications
Light sensor changes screen brightness to converge power
512MB Flash memory with SD card slot (expandable to 32GB)

Looks cool, but I may move away from touchscreen for my next one, or at least have a physical keyboard, like the Nokia N900.

engadgets reviews are not that amazing, you don't have much room for apps and even though it has a powerful processor its not much better than the Motorola droid, also its google, google are evil (so is Apple) the price on import is £330 plus £57 also the screen over saturates colours they say.

  I could not go back to keyboards again, I like touch screen but the Nexus allows you to speak emails and texts which is pretty cool really. I'll wait for real world reviews from users before I decide, the N900 is lovely but just to big for me, and moving parts on phones wear and break or get loose.

Its got google pushing it, its faster, looks funky, better camera, why couldn't it be? Lacks iTunes but google will get online thier own version quickly I bet and you can buy a sim free one for £330 odd quid, it may be limited right now and a bit buggy, but google will dominate I bet. And you can change the battery, I like my Apple phone but it does not mean ill stay with it if something better comes along, the iMac is a different story though. I could sell my iPhone on Mazuma mobile right now and get a nexus for £70, thats a deal and a half, its even got noise cancellation built in, odd that you only have 190mb to put apps on, but I bet that will change. Best of all people like it and google goggles where you can take a pic of anything and get a price or even an image search onscreen is great, Time will tell Sebby, time will tell

The HTC Desire (HTC version of the Nexus) is released by T-Mobile this week. My 3 contract expires on 2nd April, so I have ordered one as an early birthday present.

After T-Mobile last night stating that HTC had recalled the phones, and they won't be available until next week, I have just had an email from T-Mobile to say mine is in the post.

Oh no, lots of people are getting them sent out today. Up until last night the sales team had no info regarding the phone, they had to look on the customer website for details.
