I want one! (or the apple version don't care)

I'd love a digital sketchbook. But the Wacom displays cost thousands, and you need a pc to hook it up to.
The slate lets you have touch/pen interfaces and is a mini pc all of it's own.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

The Wacoms are nice though...

I've got a small A5 Wacom. It's great. It's got everything you want in a product. Quality of build, tools, software that WORKS, ease of use, great technology with no lag and a small sleek pen.
It cost about £75 new 6 years ago. The replacement models cost even more now, similar to £90 price range.
The main problem with a slate/laptop with a touch screen is they rarely have a pen device. So I may not be able to draw on them (and will it be pressure sensitive?!). The pen just works so much quicker than a touch screen. It's like comparing a laser mouse to an old ball and wheeled one. :P

Ok. Apple have just announced the launch of their Ipad. I cannot provide any info or links as EVERY website that host or even mentions information on the device has died due to overload.
Guess they must be using BT for servers. ;)
