Not sure it would much use for me except at home where I don't need it! The lack of 3G locally is going to save me money.

I've just had a thought that may appeal to the book readers. Make the iSlate out of 2 A5 hinged screens, let it display a book page on each screen, to turn a page, close the screens togeher then open them again. What do you think?

How long would the hinges last?

Longer than the current screen if you drop something on it.

I wonder what they're going to charge for this? Tempt you with a 3G contract I suppose. Interesting that they're using their own processor :eyebrow:

somanyholes

more dumbing down of the computer space in my opinion. They do look nice though :) I just don't see the point, aside from it being yet another accessory people might like, are they needed? Is there likely to be much demand for these tablet/pad devices?

Rik

From the gadget freaks, So, probably yes. I'd like one because it looks nice, but there's no way I'd buy one.
