Microsoft sees 60% jump in profit, boosted by Windows 7

Clearly, a lot of people couldn't wait to shrug off Vista.  The great pity is that so many people felt unable to turn to Linux.  I wonder why?  In my case, it's because Linux doesn't begin to compare with Windows in the way it handles media, especially television.

Indeed Rik, like I was saying earlier, statistics can can look great, until your bore down and see what's really happening, I never trust the 50% off or we had a 50% profit leap statement, simply because its never strictly that black and white. What is black and white though is the iPad will make a great glass tray  ;D
