Well upon closer checking using a screen test my 21.5" Mac has a yellow tinge  :( now the good news, I spoke to customer Apples Executive Relations EMEA and she has said they are going to be fixing the issue, but its best to wait a few weeks, also as a good will gesture they will upgrade my 21.5" iMac to a 27" Core i5 with 8gb ram for no extra cost to me, and that I have 90 days grace on this offer, which means I can make sure the screens are fixed, talk about great customer service, and they will transfer my Applecare over as well, so they have given me £200 really as a sorry, now that's great CS in my eyes, even though the faults should have been picked up earlier, LG make the panels so I think they are swapping manufacturer maybe  :dunno:,  I'll leave it till the end of march to make sure  ;D Happy days.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Thanks guys, the yellow tinge is subtle but once you notice it...well you see it all the time, the 27" will be a monster, I know the i7 is the top of the tree with hyperthreading but I dont need that, and with the i5's turbo boost it can hit 3.2ghz when only using one or two cores if the apps dont need the others, and its still 57% faster than the Q9650 so that's loads of power for me, a huge amount of screen real estate and at no extra cost.  :fingers: The issue gets fixed soonish, but I'm happy to wait to see the support forums smiling before I email her.  ;D
