Heroes of Newerth Beta Key Anyone?

Hey all

I am part of the closed beta of Heroes of Newerth and have spare beta keys to give out to anyone wanting to try the game. I have already prepurchased my copy so yeh

What is it?

Each game of Heroes of Newerth pits two teams of 1 to 5 players, called the Legion and Hellbourne, against each other. Each player selects a single hero to play from a pool of sixty, via one of several selection rotations. During the match, heroes will gain experience and gold by destroying enemy NPC units, players or structures, and customize their character with skills and items as the game progresses. Gameplay consists of heroes attacking/defending NPCs in a "lane" - a pre-defined pathway from one base to the other that the AI-controlled NPCs follow - to gain experience and gold advantage over the other team, while concurrently attempting to kill opposing heroes and avoid being killed themselves, to respawn a short time later in their own base. A game ends either when one of the teams' main structure is destroyed - either the World Tree for the Legion, or the Sacrifical Pit of the Hellbourne. A team may also concede at any point beyond fifteen minutes into the match.

You may have seen a similarity - its basically DoTa which was based on the WC3 engine, these guys have basically revamped it to a modern engine, albeit an efficient one which will run on most computers. The developers really are into patching and developing the game, with patches being released pretty much weekly for balance purposes, new characters and added features.

It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux! So all can enjoy it.

Have a look, ask for a key/invite if wanted and i'd recommend looking at tutorials on youtube before playing, you can easily mess up if just diving into the game

I'm playing it. played dota a hell of a lot and been a senior www.dota-league.com admin for years.

DotA is my 'gaming claim to fame' game where I represented england twice in the nations cup.

...and I prefer HoN to DotA

Also got some BetaKeys. And yeh if anyone wants to try out a free beta (basically the full developed game at the moment) then check out tutorials first or you will get shouted at by an angry 12 year old.

Hon beta keys always generate interest over 1,000,000 players registered.

I shall have to play with u sometime supanova, learn some stuff as my KD is only 0.9/1 and my damn PSR needs a pickup.
