Our line goes live on Monday. I was hoping to get a preemptive request in with IDNet but according to the faq the offices are closed at weekends. Should I try phoning anyway or is it reserved for absolute emergencies?

Even if they were around this weekend they can't arrange anything with Openreach until Monday.

Like Steve says BT won't process anything over the weekend, but you could fill in the online form http://www.idnet.net/solutions/home/broadband/ to place the order.

Can I use that link (with me already being an existing customer) to end this connection and start the new one or is it going to just order a second connection?

Have you requested a cease order for your present line for the day you move? Your present IDNet connection details can be carried over to the new line,it looks like IDNet cannot ask BT to provide broadband until you new line is connected and registered.

I haven't an official request in, no - there was a problem with obtaining a CSS ref number.
Ok ta, I'll just wait until my line is connected and registered proper then.
