I would love to see a sales and wants forum here ('puter items only)
I want some 256Mb sdram pc133 btw. ;D
What do the mods think pls?

"sales and wants"

I doubt we could. FYI: Most of the items im "selling" would go for next to nothing/free...im not trying to get some £££!

It's a difficult call. If we encourage advertising and the sale of goods between members by providing a specific facility for such exchanges, then we could find ourselves playing 'piggy in the middle' should things go wrong. Though I am sure the vast majority of forum members are honourable and decent people (and I only qualify the statement because I have not had contact with every member), there could be someone who would prey upon others.

Only yesterday, I had an incident of fraud, with someone using my Amazon account to purchase goods with someone else's credit card and sent to a third party.

This board is run entirely by volunteers, we do not have the facilities or resources to become involved in such cases. Therefore, I do not think it wise for us to encourage private selling.

While I would trust Avenger completely, the general rule here must be Caveat Emptor, let the buyer beware.

I personally don't have an issue with the advertising of appropriate items on the boards, however the transaction must take place elsewhere. To summarize; you can advertise an item here but any arrangements and payment must be organised via email or whatever other service you prefer.

I don't think it's appropriate to create a new board for such activity as it isn't something I feel we should be encouraging as we don't have the facilities to support the sale of goods or to resolve possible disputes.

Use the for sale and wanted section on OC3D forums (great place, use mrapoc as your referall plz  ;)) as there as strict guidelines to selling/buying to protect both parties. T&Cs here

Useful resource, thanks for posting that. :)
