... then I'd be amazed if you could read this, but:

Following the work on making the new central live, some customers are experiencing difficulty re-connecting. Normally, this can be cured by re-booting your router, but if this fails to work, please power it down for 30 minutes or so and try again. CS are aware of the problem and have asked me to pass on this advice.

Both my lines are now having speed download reductions problems ( approx 20% +) looks as though my bras has been reduced, or IDNET end ?  There have been quite a few forced external router shutdowns over the past 7 days.

Throughput is showing as it always did before.  ( previous BT tester will verify that )

Any ideas Steve ?

I'm on the same profile as you, Steve, but am getting throughout of around 2400kbps.

My immediate wonder is what MTU value you are using. I've found 1458 works best for me on IDNet. Adjust RWIN to suit, see here for how to do this if you're not certain.

If that doesn't help, then give support a call.

Done all the mtu etc.mine is 1458 which seems best on my lines.

this is since the new centrals and so called Cisco software problem. Been having all sorts of intermittent shutdowns on both lines at the same time.

this is the second line 02

Hope Steve / support will look into it.  Pretty busy now..so will leave until to call suppoert Thursday if no improvement.

You seem to have done what you can from your end, so I think a call (or email) to support has to be the next step. Your link, btw, comes up as image deleted.

I agree. except my profile was was a lot higher before the updates.. previous BT tester results will verify this. also logged regular tests on adsl guide ( thinkbroadband) and DSL zone.. show a history of download speed being never less than 2.8mb on both lines

Can Idnet get the profile back to where it was prior to the update, or has it all got to retrain again?
Seems my bras profile has dropped because of the new central or someone has been messing at the EALAT exchange again.

Seems hardly fair.. as the new central was needed to speed things up for us. ?

Rik

The new central should be completely independent of your profile. The latter is controlled by BT, and if it's dropped, that would suggest instability on your line at some point. Do your router logs show anything?
