BT seems to be working in 7 day time scales lol.

My upgrade = 7 days,
Baz upgrade = 7 days

My mate moved house = 7 days connection wait

Customer : "Hi BT, I'm just wondering how long this will take...."
BT : "7 days"
Customer : "Wait, I didnt tell you what I want"
BT : "Ok, still 7 days"

Steve

;D Trouble is 7 days is nearly one and a half weeks.

It's a wonder that, in this day and age, BT still maintain a 5-day working week.

I'm here still, nothing happened yet!

Rik

It can be any time during the day, Paul. You'll know when as you'll have 10-20 minutes of downtime.

Rik, When you moved to ADSL2, was you put on a default profile?

I know when I changed from Tiscali I was put on a 2mb profile until the exchange changed it in the 10 days.

Rik

I think so, but the default isn't too far off my normal speeds anyway. The profile came up pretty quickly.

I've actually taken today and tomorrow off. Giving my RSI a break!

And well, I don't trust BT to do something correct and tomorrow I'm getting a new aerial fitted and cables dropped down into every room for when normal TV gets switched off at the end of the month.

haven't really gained anything on downstream as my margin is still 15 :(

before:
ADSL Link     Downstream     Upstream
Connection Speed    6112 kbps    448 kbps
Line Attenuation    38.0 db    24.0 db
Noise Margin    14.7 db    27.0 db

after:
ADSL Link     Downstream     Upstream
Connection Speed    6592 kbps    936 kbps
Line Attenuation    42.0 db    22.8 db
Noise Margin    15.1 db    5.6 db

Rik

Give it time to settle. You have doubled your u/s.
