DNS Servers.

I've changed a few MX records recently, but the IDNET DNS servers have not updated. Is there any way for us to give the IDNET DNS box a kick?

I'm trying to set up a mailserver and keep hitting brick walls (the latest being this DNS problem). Other DNS have updated (such as OpenDNS) and TTL was set to just 5 mins. I thought this was going to be easy

It can take up to 24 hours. During the week, I'd say phone support and they'd kick the boxes for you, but that's not going to happen over the weekend. You could switch to OpenDNS in the short term.

It's easiest to do it from within Windows, as it saves the router resyncing...

I reckon there should be a control for doing this in the customer panel for most ISPs as its got to be one of tech support's top 5 issues.

I doubt most ISPs want people to switch DNS.

Agreed. I have had this same problem a few times with IDNET, but a call to support has always resolved it so no biggy. Good news is I now have my (test) mailserver all up and working properly! Now I'm working on the production version...

DNS updates can take upto 48hrs with some hosts/isp's, I've had a few thats taken the full 48hrs but most are done within hours.
