Is this any help, Rik? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/192929

Perfect, Noreen, don't know why I've never noticed that before.  :-* :karma:

95% of spam doesn't get past MailWasher for me, so I rarely see it, but haven't had any return receipt requests, and would never automate it.

Do the genuine forum emails get through?

What genuine forum emails?  I always get notifications of PMs, etc.  Mailwasher is a manual process.  It highlights what it thinks is spam, based on white / black lists, and prepares them for deletion from the server.  A quick glance before hitting the 'Process' button is all that is required, and as I've been using it for years, I now have quite a comprehensive data base of filters.

The ones from people who can't login or have problems joining? The ones I send to test the account?

They're forwarded to my main IDNet account.

No spam getting through, but tests are? Mailwasher is working. :)

If Outlook can do that, I haven't worked out how. :)

I did not either but I used the online help and discovered the process, which I have now done.

Didn't you get the check box to stop them when requested ?

Rik

Oh yes, Paul, it's just that it's the first time I've seen receipted spam in quantity.

Those aren't doing it yet, Gary, it's the blue pill, story telling type that are causing the problem.
My inbox is clear so far of those kinds of mail thankfully, don't get the blue pill ones these days, maybe they know something I don't  :eek4:
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Rik

They've cut you off, Gary.

I've been getting spam for the past 3 or 4 weeks, routed through 1 IDNet account, even blacklisting the account in question hasn't stopped the mail arriving.

Glenn

It is, I don't know if support can contact the account holder, to let them know of a possible security problem?

I see you found the new smiley. :) Yes, we are getting to a point where even those of us who are naturally cautious can get caught out.  :shake:
