So did I, I am quite disappointed that my escape plan will fail

Looks very impressive but too realistic for me! Besides, I suck at games like that - within an hour I would be looking for cheat codes as otherwise I would spend all the time I played it in the introductory area :)

pctech

I like horror films so looking forward to playing it in a darkened room on a 32" telly.

Inkblot

I'm just a big wuss - can't stand horror films, too easily scared! Strictly speaking it's more the suspense I hate rather than the gore. I hate the bits where the scantily clad nubile young lady walks gingerly down the dimly-lit corridor and you *know* she is going to get attacked. As soon as the killer emerges from the shadow, stabs her, rips her head off and scoops the brains out I'm fine though :)

vitriol

Looking forward to playing it too.  Looks very good, hopefully the story / voice acting will be up to scratch.  Hopefully they learned alot in these areas by playing the superb Batman : Arkham Asylum.

pctech

Its been in development for nearly 5 years so I'm expecting something rather special.

If you look on gametrailers there are some other gameplay vids such as a police escape sequence.

vitriol

Yes it's been in development for ages.....I remember buying an Xbox360 magazine before the machine had even launched and it came with a DVD showcasing forthcoming games.  Alan Wake was one of them.  IIRC that was around October / November 2005.

pctech

IIRC the 360 launched in the December

Glenn

It's like GT5 for the PS3, That was due xmas 2008 I believe, they are now saying 2010

Yeah it did, but it was released in the states at the end of November, I think I've still got the issue somewhere.

GT5 - eek! how long has that been in development !!!  Will it ever be released lol.

esh

They quietly canceled the PC version as I remember :(

HMV have mailed me to say they've dispatched it.

opted for the Limited Edition one with the soundtrack CD.

It does look quite entertaining, I might pick up a copy myself.

From what I've seen from the videos its more like a film than a game.
