Pings

Hi,

Anybody got any thoughts onto why my pings are higher with IDnet than they was with Tiscali?

With Tiscali i was getting 16ms ping in Battlefield2 (even with slow speeds) but with IDnet my ping is over 50ms (my speed hasn't dropped below 4mb yet).

Interleaving is off, Having a 50+ ping is a big difference than what i used to get

I think the short answer has to be give support a call. My pings stayed constant when I moved here, but I don't game. It may be a routing issue, but it's not one that we'll be able to do much about here (assuming you've been through the MTU/RWIN thing).

Yeh my computer has been tweaked to the max. first thing i do when i get a new computer is strip it down, re-install the OS to get rid off the rubbish they put on and tweak all settings to get the maxium.

Whats your ping and how many hops do you get to multiplay.co.uk rik?

I also get around 20ms also to multiplay - have you got interleaving on?

@AvengerUK. No, Interleaving is off as i phoned support and asked them.

Simon has asked for some tracert's and ping test, so hopefully this will be sorted soon
