cPanel X MySQL restore

For the first time ever I've been forced to restore an SQL backup from a local source (my PC) to the host. When I attempt to do this Firefox opens another browser window which remains blank and eventually crashes all browser sessions. Needless to say the database does not get uploaded.

I've had to upload the file via FTP and get the host company to deal with it but I'm worried I'm going to need to continually restore this database. My Internet went down in the middle of a forum upgrade (3rd time this has happened in the last 6 months) and I can no longer connect to the forum, grrr.

So my question is has anyone here ever used cPanel X Backups(restore) via FF and had it work?

I have.

My server runs cPanel and used it a few times, esp comes in handy when moving/copying a site to a new account.

Try another browser (chrome) if you are getting crashes just incase a firefox plugin is causing problems, if it crashes chrome then tell your hosts, Something might be corrupted somewhere.

I currently have a problem with cPanel on my server where its not logging the bandwidth being used, my host are in talks with cPanel to fix the problem.

I was about to try Chrome/IE and decided to phone the hosting company to see if anything was known. By the time I got off the phone they already had it restored for me (but said thy were not aware of any issues in that regard). How efficient is that!
