I have been unable today to reach any website hosted by HostGator, including www.hostgator.com itself, even though all these sites are running just fine and are accessable from lines outside our IDNet broadband line.

Can someone from IDNet please sort out these routing issues? This is not the first time that we have these problems.

I can get through to the website using OpenDNS and Idnet, strange I couldn't 5 mins ago on either.

I can now access these sites again from my IDNet broadband line.

Strange, why didn't it work this morning?

Without having tested it at the time, I can't give you a sensible answer. Support may have prodded something, or maybe the routing issue was spotted and fixed by the relevant company. Another possibility would be that the server was down, did you try accessing through a proxy?

As the host was suspect/sites offline that would be the 1st place to look.............

It does seem IDNet seem to be one to blame first off. Why?

I'm currently getting almost dialup speeds at the moment, talked to a few friends and there having the same issue (on Virgin media).
Loss of connection and slow speeds, am wondering if theres another LINX problem today? Anyone else seeing issues? Not much idnet can do about it, but just curious as to whats happened. Might explain your host gator problem.

I am not aware of any BT /LINX issues at the moment except 21CN in Bognor went off earlier this evening.
