I occassionally work from home, and we use MS Office Communicator as a chat tool. I've noticed that this seems to drop out quite frequently since migrating to IDNET. Not much to go on I know, but in general everything else is can be working fine, whilst the chat tool becomes unavailable. Just wondered if anyone has any ideas or experienced the same issues?

Thanks Andy

Gary

Sorry never used it, there should be no reason it does not work with IDNet though, what version are you using, maybe some googling would help
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Likewise, it's not something I use. Try pinging the server and see what sort of times you get.

I know its a bit of a strange one. Otherwise I'm very pleased with IDNet, performance has been excellent. I'm running Office 2007, so the version is pretty up to date. Will try some pings tomorrow when I'm next working from home. It may well be a (company) internal problem, its just that I dont remember this happening with any frequency before switching providers, so thought I'd check.

Check with support if you've still got problems, you'll find them both knowledgeable and helpful.
