I'm not surprised, I'm a modest user (I spend most of my time here), but I still use 5-6GB/month.

I tiinkered with TVcatchup.com for a bit as well (as cant get freeview here) and so started to watch Dave.

It'll eat up your bandwidth like there's no tomorrow.

Rik

Indeed it will, 3GB is definitely not enough for you.

Well Newnet say that resetting the training period is unlikely to hike the speed so they have reported it to BT as a speed issue.

Hoping I get the new router soon, anything I need to tweak on it or do they generally just plug and play?

Rik

Plug & play, it will work out the connection details, you just need to enter your username and password. When you do, don't hit the submit button, but type in the address bar Javascript:document.pagepost.submit() and hit return.

Whats so wrong with the submit button can I ask?

Rik

It only accepts BT logins.

Practically anything, I love it all.

Rik

Have you heard Officium by Jan Gabarek and the Hilliard Ensemble. A synthesis of Gregorian Chant and jazz sax. Brilliant.

I was considering a move to AAISP and had I worked normal hours I would because the off peak bandwidth is very generous but their peak charges are not that cheap.

pctech

I'll look that up on Spotify.

Rik

I think you'll really like it.

No Spotify is free (apart from the bandwidth)

I've bought Alan Wake, will have to buy some of the Cisco books and the Nokia C5 when it comes out but apart from that the rest of my money is headed for the savings account.

I dread to think how much Rik spends at DR and buying Apple stuff.

Rik

DR, too much, Apple, very little, just three iPods. :)

I have the one 2nd gen Nano

It really was amusing going into the Apple store and watching the staff pretty much bouncing off the walls.

Rik

 ;D

Sue has one, I have one for exercise purposes and then a large Classic for general entertainment, more often than not from a Bose docking station.

Q has saud he's sent the router so fingers crossed I get it before Friday

Will get it in as soon as.

Should receive it by Friday no problem, have had a word with the ConDems (think about that description!?) and they have promised to facilitate the router as fast as possible, (at the moment they will promise us anything) ;) ::) :dunno: :dunno:
