My pings wont go below 40....not at all. Its as if i have interleaving on...which i dont!!! im not on a MAX connection. They are also quite unstable/packet loss.

However, My line stats have, well, rocketed down!!! - My attenuation has moved to 57 db downstream (was 60 odd) and my SNR at 1mb downstream is 16!!! Never has it been so high...

...Which, on the vairous ADSL Max checkers gives the possibility of a higher SYNC.

So...what the hell is going on!?

I think this is one for support, Avenger. My pings to the BBC are oscillating between 20-40ms, which is unusual.

The attenuation change might just indicate some work on your line, at cabinet or exchange level, in response that might give you a better SNR.

I'd recommend a chat to the experts.

Just requested to go back onto MAX. My atten has stayed at 57, and my SNR is, well, unbeleivably stable :D

Rik

Good news, I hope it stays that way (and with IDNet behind you, it should...).
