The BBC report that:

QuoteTaiwanese mobile phone maker HTC has filed a patent complaint against Apple, asking for the US sale of iPhones, iPads and iPods to be halted.

The move comes after Apple sued HTC in March, alleging it infringed 20 patents relating to the iPhone.

Meanwhile, the world's biggest mobile phone maker Nokia is also embroiled in a patent suit with Apple.

Analysts say firms frequently argue over patents, but the rows rarely lead to product bans.

Don't they ever get tired of making lawyers rich?

Doesn't it go to show that most phones are essentially the same?

I surprised the descendants of Alexander Graham Bell haven't got in on the act.

Makes me wish I was a lawyer who was an intellectual property law specialist.

After doing a GNVQ Business course and having to write an assignment about business law where I had to study a lot of cases (which I quite enjoyed) I did think about it but IT won out due to my love of computers and electronics.

That's like asking to be a politician because the money is good. I don't think I'd want to mar my reputation. Give me poverty over ruthlessness any day.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

Indeed I was kidding.

I was considering going into criminal law but the thought occurred to me that I'd have to defend some human scum and I really don't think I could, not with a clear conscience anyway.

Considered the medical profession too but couldn't live with the prospect of giving someone devestating news so IT it had to be.

Now you just tell people their computer has been wrecked by a virus!  ;D

No but I do deal with a lot of people who are running two AV products and wonder why the software wont work or their PC is running slow.
