HT on AMD x2

How do you check HT is enabled AND being utilized?

Task Manager will show HT as two processors, at least it did with a P4. Whether, and how well, it is used is down to the software you run to a large extent, though Windows will make use of HT (and dual core etc).

I am using an AMD64 x2 4600 on my desktop PC and Taskmanager can be set to show one graph per CPU as follows: - View - CPU History - and select one graph per CPU.

You could also download CPUInfo utility from the AMD website if you haven't already done so - gives a lot of info about your CPU.

cpu-Z is also useful for checking on CPU and memory stuff.

Thats a strange one. I know the C2D architecture is different but i would have thought the X2s would show up just as mine do in the task manager

Hyper-threading (HT) as I think some have referred to it here is specific to Intel; AMD does not use hyper-threading. As for how to check for HyperTransport, which is an AMD technology, there are a few apps that allow for drilling down into such detail; I know a MSI tool I had used to give such information.
