well I tried to check but it's said ADSL was in progress, but Derby isn't on that list someone posted anyhow

I'm happy as I am, Rik, and I don't think I would benefit that much, due to my distance from the exchange (about 2 miles).

so how do u trace a mobile bb connection on pay as you go? which isnt registered?

That's for the phone company to do, Adam. All we can do, if demanded by a court order, is provide the time, date and IP address. The ISP concerned does the rest.
