PS Beat me to it Jupiter ... ;)

No probs.  As long as we don't argue about who gets macs old telly.  Maybe we should let Rik have it - the oval balls would look even bigger on a 36" screen. ;D

Rik

I wasn't planning to mount them yet! ;) :out:

But think about the fun you'd have with the mains spike.

Rik

Not to mention the HT 'thrill'... ;)

Hey! a metal framed bungalow!

Thing to do  :P ...... next time you decorate put metal foil under the wallpaper ..... or better still wire-netting!!  ::)

One big Faraday-cage ....... great!

Problem solved!  BTW Surge protectors do not filter out R.F. - Ferrite cores/rings on the mains lead do.
Also .... I have heard of people having problems to do with BT not filtering R.F. as they should.  :(

:)

Hi Guys
Thought you might be amused by the update.
I removed the CRT tv to garage friend of mine is having it .
I purchased a 32 samsung LCD got it home and in trying to configure it found the Digital side did not work so could not get freeview!!! took it back today,no stock of the 32" so they refunded me my purchase price and then I spotted a samsung 40" at the same shop which I managed to get for only £24 extra and a black 3 tier glass corner stand thrown in.
I also received my Netgear wireless dg834n now up and running on my test socket and so far straight line on my routerstats at just 5.5db.
Seems like I might have cracked it but many a word spoken too soon!!!
Ill let you know how it goes.
I am connecting to the netgear through BT Voyager 1055.

Happy accidents are the best ones. :)

If it sticks, it looks like we may have the answer. Toes crossed.

Hi Rik
now an hour and it is still a straight line on the router stats

Rik

I rarely see a straight line, so that sounds good (and also like you need to do some work on your phone wiring).
