my phone is with idnet :)  I need to keep my number ex directory due to family reasons :( How do I know if my number is ex directory or not?

Rik

Ask IDNet to be certain. Did you request it when you ordered?

No i didn't - slipped my mind :( do they charge for it ?

Rik

I don't think so, Tina. I was ex-D when I transferred, so it never came up. It's not listed as a chargeable option on the web site though.

ohhhh *doh* so I need to ask for it to be activated ? ... feel stooopid now :(

Rik

That used to be the case, Tina. Again, my line transferred with it in place, so I can only surmise. Sadly, it's too late for me to talk to IDNet and get definite answers for you.

It's fine - e-mailed them :) you're a star :)

Simon

Yes, caller display needs to be activated, and if it's a new line, I believe you would need to ask to be ex-directory, and also, for your outgoing number to be 'withheld', if you so wish.  :)
