my phone is with idnet   I need to keep my number ex directory due to family reasons How do I know if my number is ex directory or not?

I don't think so, Tina. I was ex-D when I transferred, so it never came up. It's not listed as a chargeable option on the web site though.

I've e-mailed them is it also to get a service where  you can see who is calling.. like caller display?

Caller display is free, afaik.

That used to be the case, Tina. Again, my line transferred with it in place, so I can only surmise. Sadly, it's too late for me to talk to IDNet and get definite answers for you.

Yes, caller display needs to be activated, and if it's a new line, I believe you would need to ask to be ex-directory, and also, for your outgoing number to be 'withheld', if you so wish.
