If you truly believe you need to pick a mobile phone that 'says something' about your personality, don't bother. You don't have a personality. A mental illness, maybe - but not a personality

He'll only scream, wear ear defenders.

Ouch.

Rik, just off the phone with Brian in support - said it wasn't him you spoke to yesterday but he is going to put a request in to BT to try and get me a 6meg profile which should - as far as i can remeber - leave me with around a 9db margin.

Here's hoping...

Cheers

good luck wing, if you add both our current thruput's together we'd just about make an isdn connection  :stars:

Been 'done' by BT. They'd reset everything and its given me 9300 @ 6db again. Luckly I caught it straight away and have DMT'd it to get 7500 @ 9db.

Hope it holds...

 :fingers:

BT could make a mess of organising a party in a beverage brewing company.

Doubt they could run a plantation.

Rik

I doubt they'd manage a planter, Mitch, let alone a whole plantation.

Any news on your migration yet?

Migrated ok but I am migrating back to Newnet Rik because I've started to devour bandwidth at an alarming rate as starting watching episodes of Alistair McGowan's big impression on SeeSaw along with TV catchup so think I may lose track of the bandwidth which I can ill afford to do at the moment.

If ID net implement capping and or the off peak weekends I'll definitely look again but for the moment I need to keep tight control on the wonga if you know what I mean.

Rik

Just send me your bank details and I'll take care of the rest. ;D

 ;D

If they introduce capping and the ability to buy x GB of bandwidth over and above your allowance I'd definitely come back but for the moment Newnet meets my needs on that front.

Rik

The ability to buy the bandwidth is there, retrospectively, of course.

Yes and the prospect of a potential runaway bill is what concerns me.

Rik

You would be receiving warning emails and, of course, the RSS feed.

Yeah I know I'm just a bit of a net addct and I'll probably just keep going whereas if it stops me I am then forced to think I need to buy some bandwidth, time to slow down a bit, I'll have another look in a few months.

Got the MAC and placed the order with Newnet.

Rik

You could borrow some of my spare bandwidth, I always have oodles left.

Forgive me, but I can't see how Newnet are significantly better than iDNet when it comes to bandwidth allowances....

Rik

It's their capping that Mitch wants, Tac.

I am definitely not saying anything bad about IDNet, its just me that I'm worried about,  ;D
