Most routers will run slightly warm, particularly if the casing is in contact with the chipset as encapsulation/decapsulation is quite a processor intensive process.

When they first shipped the DGN2000 it didn't come with the legs/stands but the latest ones do (mine did) but the legs from a DG834(G) will fit it.

Only brand of router I really worry about are the Zyxel 1 port ethernet ones that some ISPs give away with a new connection.

Had one of those when I was with another ISP and used to switch it off at night as it ran so hot I was concerned it was going to catch fire.

10" would be fine Steve, but the 12" can run more slowly for the same air flow, or provide a faster air flow, for the same price. Plus you can get it for £189 at Amazon, the only model I've seen discounted.

I had an old Freecom (I think) wifi router. It got so hot it eventually died. But it may have been helped by the cat that used it to keep warm and sleep on!
