Technical Ben

Sorry to see your problems are worse than I was hoping for. :P
Hope you get it sorted. As Rik said. A spare router would help to see if the lightning fried the other one. I have a spare at the moment. It's a Belkin G mimo if you want to borrow... I think it works.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

current status

No other neighbours havin probs

I dont have a backup router to test out

I have effectively unplugged Sky boxes from lines as per suggestion - still no change - but u said this may take a few days.

Its getting really frustrating, especially if i am still going to have to wait till tuesday....

Steve

Are you still using the test socket? Can you post another set of router stats from the test socket and also a BT speedtest. Did you manage to get routerstats working its here if didn't find it http://www.vwlowen.co.uk/internet/files.htm

The Noise Margin graph is pretty stable so it could well be that the profile will improve over the next few days.

SNR should be much lower @ 6 - 8db , it is t 15db now with interleaving turned on which means the system was affected by a lot of noise/interference for some reason.

If the line stays stable for a while support can ask BT to drop the SNR for you.  Keep the router on and record with router stats as long as possible as this will show any spikes if they happen.

Rik

I can't add to what Dorset has said. Your line looks find now, but something fairly catastrophic in terms or noise or repeated resyncs has forced your profile, and with it your throughput, low. All you can do at this point is to wait for it to recover. If it hasn't by Tuesday, support can get BT to give it a  nudge.
