Gotta question motives;
Quote"For too long the previous Government acted as if the public had no right to know where their hard earned taxes were spent. Today we have lifted that veil of secrecy by releasing detailed spending figures dating back to 2008," Danny Alexander, Chief Secretary to the Treasury commented.

I wonder if they will do the same in 4.5 years?

Given the total is 120GB, I doubt it will be downloaded by many.

A bit like releasing the King James bible to a largely illiterate population.  Most can't be bothered about it and fewer can afford it, and those that can will rely on their branch of religion (or media outlet) to interpret it for them.

I'm a firm believer in freedom of information and I applaud the coalition for this bold move, but it's a shame it doesn't amount to anything more than a hill of beans.

Early days yet.

That quite surprises me considering the number of people who seem to believe that BitTorrent is illegal. I bet they will be downloading those reports now  :laugh:
