Does seem rather an amazing bit of kit I have to say.

Surprised more ISPs haven't started stocking them but by the looks of 2wire's site they only sell to big telcos.

I'm keeping hold of my netgear though just in case.

Rik

I've got two spare 2 Wires and two Netgears. What do you mean 'paranoid'. ;D

I now have

The 2700
Netgear DG834G
A speedtouch 330 USB modem from when I was with Virgin ADSL when I got broadband.

I switched to another ISP after 6 months of using them as the DNS kept going down.

Rik

Only the DNS? They must be getting better. ;D

Had a couple of connection failures too, only went with them as had used them for dial-up.

Rik

They were one of my many dialup ISPs. :)

Me too.

I've used LibertySurf (remember them), BT, Claranet, Virgin, 1 day with Freeserve but after 3 hours of hearing the busy signal I rang Customer Services and asked to cancel (advisor pretty much begged me not to cancel and said she'd organise callback from tech support, I said no point because your modem racks are overloaded)

DSL ISPs: Virgin, Namesco (not bad but got slow in evenings, a trace route showed they used plusnet for transit), Newnet, Zen and of course now IDnet.

Rik

I had 17 dial up ISPs, most of which I can't remember now, but the first was Compuserve. ADSL is much simple, Freeserve/Orange, Nildram, IDNet.

I had around 10 dialup isps, Adsl, I've only been with Eclipse (good until they were taken over by Kingston) and Idnet.

I did consider Nildram at one point as they had quite a good rep but think it was price that put me off.

Was with Eclipse also on dialup for a bit but left when they were taken over by Kingston as things did seem to start breaking (glad I don't live in Hull)

There's just no stopping this router!

Still rock steady at 1632 Kbps and 56.5 dB attenuation when I checked it again just before I left for work.

And the RADIUS UserID and password change last night was simple too, had thought I'd have to plug and unplug a few times.

Not getting rid of me from here.

I do have a little idea for which I'm going to need a server or two so will be contacting IDnet about that when the time comes.
