What have they done!

How do you turn this damm image thingy off!

sparky

Phew!

Well lets hope they stick to that and turn it off again!

We should have a mass action day against Google, don't use any of the services for 24 hours and remind them where their money comes from.

Personally I think its an improvement, background I just saw was a freight terminal at night, I did like what they did a couple of weeks back too by turning the logo into a playable Pac-Man game.

Use a proper browser like Opera and you don't get that garbage on the Google pages.

Nah, Firefox FTW.
Oddly enough a lot of hackers use Opera because of its tiny market share.

I#m using IE6 at work and the Google home page looks normal to me, i.e. no images just the normal Google Logo a search box and the usual links  :dunno:

pctech

just checked from work and now got sand dune on Google page.

If you have a customised landing page it is unlikely you will see it

Agree! I think it is an improvement, there are many acceptable choices available especially the ones via 'Editor's Choice' :thumb:

sparky

Yep. Great if you have a nice flashy PC.

Not what you want if you have something older, slower or even a netbook.

Google has lost sight of what made it what it is. A light fast search engine with no overheads.

Just changed my homepage to Alta Vista.

pctech

Yes agreed on a low spec machine it isn't a good idea.

If I wanted to look at pictures I would go to an appropriate site.
