I note that Home SuperMax prioritises over standard ADSL traffic, amongst other elements of the package.

Would this overcome the buffering I have been experiencing since the World Cup started?

Grateful for any advice.

It should, John, but if the exchange is the problem, it may not, put another way, it should make things better but not necessarily good. Be aware also that there may be a charge if you later downgrade.

Thanks Rik. I was thinking of upgrading anyway, because of the higher upgrade speed, so I think I will give it a go. Is it a call to support or can I do it through the portal, do you know?

I didn't have to, it happened automatically when BT reset the line.

It makes quite a noticeable difference with average download speeds for me on ADSL Max, and that has been experienced with three different ISPs.

It hasn't changed the download speed appreciably for me, but it has stopped the buffering. Upload speed - not surprisingly - is nearly double what it was before.

So, I'm happy.

I find it worthwhile if you depend on your 'net connection for some reason other than casual surfing.

I have thought about it but I have visions of BT cocking it up and somehow ending up with a worse speed
