Had the BT man out again today (yes we are allmost on first name terms). Had some slow speed problems since Friday. He checked everything out and the line seemed ok. Now to be fair he spent 2 hours trying to sort out my line. The one thing he did find not good was I am sure he said magnetic leval on my line was 15 which was very high. To solve this and get be a better connection he checked the line stats on my neighbours line which were much better than mine. They do not have BB at the moment and lets just say they lost their phone connection for a while this morning while bits were swaped over. Once by profile recovers having suffered loads of disconnections this morning I should find the stats and speed a lot better. ;)

Lance

lol sounds like a friendly BT man!

Lets hope your profile recovers as you hope!

It was quite cheap two cups of tea and lots of biscits. I have not spoken to my neighbours yet but if I see them walk across to the phone box I know there is a problem. The only downside is my profile has gone down big time. Now at 2.5 meg. Have there is a big improvement in 3 days

Rik

The BT man must have rattled your connection more than 10 time in an hour, Bill. The profile may just recover quickly if you're lucky, but otherwise it's the 3-day wait. :(
